National Arboretum Fountain Grass (Pennisetum Alopecuroides)
National Arboretum is also known as "Black Flowering Fountain Grass". It blooms in late August or early September on stems that are held well above the foliage. A very striking fall blooming perennial grass! Beautiful but, like its other Fountain Grass cousin, Moudry, it sometimes reseeds itself in the right location.
